Insults thrown at striker

Hopes sourround Keirrison that supporters will stop jeering him and other Palmeiras players after the side was eliminated from the Paulista State Championship even though the team had been winning it for several months.

If the fans decide to protest then the players may struggle to recreate the form earlier in the season, in which they could be at a major disadvantage and could well continue their bad run of form. It is feared that star Keirrison is likely to recieve the most abuse, even though he is the clubs leading goal scorer.

Luxemburgo commented: “I’ll guarantee you that they will insult Keirrison, me and the others. But we will have to insert cotton buds into our ears and get on with our jobs,” said Luxemburgo.

“The fans are frustrated because they wanted us to beat Santos but we hope that they attend the match in large numbers so that they can support us in a crucial game.”

Barcelona to make move

Palmeiras star could be set to make a move to Spanish Giants Barcelona along with leading Premier League side Liverpool.

Although Barcelona are opting to waiting a few months to see how his develops, but a bid could be any time soon. Naor Malaquias needs to be convinced that the 20 year old star will be good for the club and can bring them even more success in the future.

If Keirrison was to sign for Barcelona, he would be playing along side the fantastic Lionel Messi, who i’m sure would teach him a thing or two.

Keirrissons agent has confirmed that Barce have been in contact with him, but the Palmeiras coach Luxemburgo has warned Barcelona that they have to make a move sooner rather than later as the player may become unsettled if a team doesn’t approach him.
